Personal & Professional Practice: Placement

I chose to do my placement at Voir, which is a online fashion magazine company that base themselves in Leeds city centre.

I applied through email and sent over a mini portfolio of my editorial work as some examples.

I had an interview and was offered the placement on the day. It was decided I would do a three month (possibly plus) where I do a few days a week.

My time at Voir has been a great experience so far and learning how an independent magazine works has been an eye-opening experience.

So far I have been a social media content creator, a stylist and a photographer for the magazine editor's personal social media branding.

Social Media Content

I was tasked with creating a social media plan on my first day at the magazine. I was told beauty shots, talent shout outs, high fashion campaigns and independent streetwear brands were to be included.
