Studio Brief 01 - Age of the Zeal

Age of the Zeal is a art installation/exhibition that explores femininity, drag culture and gay culture. The whole installation is a celebration of the art that surrounds these cultures and topics through live performances, videography, projections, face art, music and dance.

This event has definitely inspired some of the ideals I will be exploring within my COP 3 dissertation where I will be exploring gender and masculinity/femininity within the fashion industry.

Studio Brief 01 - The Hepworth

This piece was the most engaging part of the gallery as you got the chance interact with the piece by stitching on a item on you - it is recommended you stick down whatever is in your pocket.

All ideas and small collectives come together to create something much bigger within the process of design - much like the creative process of my practice. This piece really put a perspective on how important it is for me to create as many small ideas as I can to help form a solid idea.

Studio Brief 01 - YSP

Although I did not take much from YSP design-wise as it hasn't changed in the last year since my last visit. It was still a day that I took inspiration from as it made me realise how big, and loud art can be. And that does not necessarily mean it has to be 3D or sculpture. I often keep my work to the same sizes when printing A2-A4 and it would be a cool experience if I blow up my work for one project to see how scale and imagery work together as it is something I don't often explore.
