My initial thought when thinking about the concept(s) of my brand was to represent traits about myself.
I did not want to necessarily push one idea or concept forward, but rather have a few subtle themes and aesthetics to my design and the ideology behind it.
I considered my traits and what makes me as a person/designer.
I asked a few people of the course to help put into words my person traits.
- lazy
- humorous
- captivating
- compassionate
- photography
- not type based
- artistic
- daring
- down to earth
- cultured
- easy to get on with
- dynamic
- imaginative
- interested in fashion
- minimal
- relaxed in an working environment
(not entirely sure they are necessarily true - they sound too generous)
However, these gave me an idea of how I would like to approach the aesthetics of my self branding.
From the feedback, the things that stuck out for me was the recognition I am into my photography and another that I don't necessarily incorporate typography much into my work.
I love type, although, I do agree I don't include it into my work as much as I would like - and with this brief it is something I am taking on board and heavily relying on.
